momentum_v1

How VRank Weekly Momentum works.

Select up to three qualifying videos, measure seven complete days of public view-count growth, then rank the sum inside a public subscriber cohort.

01 / SelectUp to 3 videos

The highest-viewed confirmed Gorilla Tag videos published in the prior 30 days.

02 / Measure7 complete days

Public end views minus public start views, never less than zero.

03 / RankWithin cohort

The summed gain is ordered only among eligible, claimed creators in that size band.

weekly_momentum = Σ max(0, end views − start views)Calculated by VRank from public YouTube view counts · momentum_v1

Who is eligible

  • An active adult creator or parent/legal guardian operates the claim.
  • The public channel has at least three confirmed Gorilla Tag videos in 90 days.
  • At least one confirmed qualifying video was published in the prior 30 days.
  • Seven complete public observations are available with no unresolved anomaly.

Cohorts and publication

Under 1K, 1K–10K, and 10K+ use the public subscriber count returned by YouTube. A cohort publishes no ordering until at least eight creators are eligible. Equal totals share a rank; there is no hidden tiebreaker.

Policy gate

VRank will expose no calculated momentum or ordered leaderboard until the applicable YouTube derived-metrics review is accepted. Raw public profile facts can be previewed separately.

Corrections and limits

Stale or incomplete data produces a pending state, not a silent penalty. Public Shorts and long-form views follow YouTube’s current definitions and are not normalized by an invented private formula.
